How to keep your video projects in the cloud
Press Projects in the top bar, then Cloud (or Ctrl+K → Cloud projects). Save this project sends the whole project — the edit and its media, as one .cvproj — to your account. Open it from the same list on any computer you sign in on.
- Sign in. Cloud projects live in your Colurvist account; on a computer you are not signed in on, the dialog says so and offers the log-in.
- Save. Projects (top bar) → Cloud → Save this project. Later saves become version 2, 3 and so on; the last five are kept.
- Open elsewhere. Sign in on the other computer, open the same list and choose the project (or an older version). The media comes with it.
- Mind the newer copy. If the cloud holds a newer version than the one you opened — saved from another computer — Save asks before it writes over it.
- Keep it lean. Consolidate… (Export → Other outputs → Project file) makes a copy cut down to the parts the edit uses, which saves faster and takes less room.
- Tidy up. Delete old projects from the list to free your storage.
How much room you have
A free account holds 250 MB of cloud projects and any paid plan 5 GB; one project file can be up to 200 MB. The dialog shows what you have used.
Without the cloud
Every project also downloads as a single .cvproj file (Export → Other outputs → Project file) that opens on any computer, account or not.
Undo is Ctrl+Z, and one history covers the whole project.
Questions
Is my footage private?
Yes. Cloud projects are stored in your account and only you can open them.
Does saving to the cloud cost credits?
No. It counts against your storage, not your credits.
What if I edit on two computers?
Each save is a version. The editor warns you before an older copy would replace a newer one, so nothing is lost silently.
